No Ky farmlife - I don't think it is Winnie the Pooh as there is no stream for playing Pooh sticks! Maybe the little grey men (do you know the book "The Little Grey Men" by B.B.?
I looked at your profile and think we have read pretty much the same books. I miss England (and Morocco where we lived for a while). I envy you having a young dog!
Beech trees are fantastic, and when I was in Australia there were many trees but no beeches. Those autumn colours are only in colder regions and I like them. Thanks for showing this photo.
I love these autumnal photos, especially the pathway into the wood. And your posting on Deja vu was sublime. I wish I could have read it with my eyes closed.
Good morning from Southern California! I came over from Elizabeth's blog to visit. I enjoyed seeing York minster. We were there in 2004 and enjoyed exploring York and the minster. Thank you for sharing your autumn countryside with us.
Thanks to all of you for your comments. Reader Wil's comment that the autumn colours are only in the colder regions was interesting - I had not thought of it like that (almost makes cold weather bearable!)Thanks also Pamnela for comment on Deja Vu!
I am a widow for the second time - first marrriage 39 years, second marriage 23 years - both very happy. My second marriage was to a farmer and when he died the farm was sold. I now live in the nearby small town on the edge of Wensleydale in The Yorkshire Dales. My beloved Border Terrier died a couple of years ago - I still miss her but as I am 90 and need carers I shalln't get another I have one son,who lives nearby with his wife, three grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren..Life is good.

Oh! I'm looking at one of those right in front of my window and you're right - in the sun they positively glow.
How beautiful! Does Winnie the Pooh live there in your 40 acre woods too? LOL really nice pictures!
I don' t think there is an autumn tree to beat the beech Janice.
