Nice poem! and I liked the story about the holly trees. I came across from Abraham Lincoln Bird Blog.

Sorry but this is not on our farm!
I have been trying to get a shot of seagulls and a plough for weeks and been unable to do so as every field I came across being ploughed was empty of birds!! This is in fact David's niece's husband ploughing with a few seagulls.

Thanks Nick. I have looked at your linking of art and poetry. It is an interesting idea - there is a book of RS Thomas poetry (my favourite poet) in which he writes a poem against each painting he has chosen. Do you know it?

Gosh this brings back memories of home on the farm with the gulls hovering over freshly plowed earth.
Love it Weaver!
