I always think writing is like beading: threading words into patterns, rhythms and twisting them into shape.
Saw your post on cadwc blog. Let me know if you plan a joint event and I'll do my best to get there. One thing about surnames is that they're memorable... I haven't actually met Dr Cole but know the name - very well thought of around here.
I made a beaded curtain for a doorway using old necklaces... it took me hours, days, & weeks but my son kept shutting it in the door and when the string broke the beads all fell off the threads. I didn't have the heart to spent the time rethreading them
Annie - what a beautiful idea, threading beads to make a curtain. I am sure I have enough to do just that. Can understand why you couldn't face re-threading though.
I am a widow for the second time - first marrriage 39 years, second marriage 23 years - both very happy. My second marriage was to a farmer and when he died the farm was sold. I now live in the nearby small town on the edge of Wensleydale in The Yorkshire Dales. My beloved Border Terrier died a couple of years ago - I still miss her but as I am 90 and need carers I shalln't get another I have one son,who lives nearby with his wife, three grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren..Life is good.

These are gorgeous! My favorite is the blue and gold necklace - awesome!

best wishes,

They're really beautiful, Weaver.
Thanks, Janice. Bead colours are so translucent and beautiful that they are quite irresistable.
Interesting Mistlethrush - hadn't thought of words like that before - a nice image.
