Edward and I are visiting here for the first time and having so much fun! You have a lovely blog.

We do have a trick for a chewing puppy!.. Wet a washcloth or small towel really well, wring it out a bit, roll it into sort of a tube shape, and then freeze it until it's really hard. Then give it to the pup to chew. They are ususally chewing because they're teething and this helps numb the gums a bit. It's always worked for us!

Lovely photos.
We never get lapwings here, they're one of my favourite birds.

Great tip from Pamela and Edward!

Thanks for the comment, Pat. Sorry you don't get lapwings (so aptly named) - we don't get them at home (600 feet above s.l.) but as soon as we climb higher they are there, We get curlews nesting in our fields, which is lovely.

Thank you for visiting my birds blog. I have several others linked to my Brookville Daily Photo blog if you are interested in some of my work.

I came to return your visit with one of my own and to learn what you do and how you do it. I like all three of these photos and the top one the best when enlarged. The waterfalls reveals some brownish stuff that reminds me of how some of our water used to look. It looks almost like sewage is in the water but it could well be muddy water resulting from a rain and runoff upstream from the falls.

I like the way you photographed the water falls. Some people who are great photographers think the falls should be smooth like silk but the only way we ever in our lives see what as smooth as silk as it goes over a water falls is if we stand and fix our eyes on one spot or stare. They is looks like a smooth ribbon.

We actually see water falling like you show. It is a split second look at the waterfalls and when you look at them that is what you see.

I do like the other photo on this post too but I think the top one is best or I like it the most. I like the sheep in the other one. Seems so pastoral.

Thanks for visiting.

I've never been in the Yorkshire Dales but I watched the series of James Herriot and I read his books. I then had the feeling that I should like to live there. It must be such a wonderful country.
Thanks for visiting and have a geat weekend.

The beauty in which you live is astounding to me. My favorite parts of reading the James Herriot series weren't just about the sweet animal tales, but when he'd pull over and describe the beautiful landscapes and maybe step out and go for a walk.

Just gorgeous!!
